Idlewild.

idlewild is my favorite band.
yup. don't know what else to say.
i am in love with them.

idlewild are:

their album, The Remote Part, inspired me to write
the second issue of my zine, she's so very... 
(which you can buy here - idlewild enjoyed it and you will, too!).

their new album, Warnings/Promises, is really wonderful. it didn't hit me as fast as The Remote Part did, but you better believe that it eventually it me... hard.

in october 2005 i flew to portland, oregon to see idlewild perform. i was not able to see them play anywhere closer than that, so a great friend of mine helped me get to portland so i could see them for the seventh time. it was amazing. i'm working on a new zine that includes details of the trip. but until then... a picture is worth a thousand words.

i took these photos on april 23rd, 2003 in columbus, oh.
this was the fifth time i'd seen them,
but the second time i'd seen them on their last US headlining tour.
it was a really great show.

i also traveled to see them at the siren music festival at coney island in brooklyn, ny on july 19th, 2003. it rocked. it was one of the best shows i've seen them play. they were really enjoying themselves up on stage. it was refreshing and tons of fun. that was my sixth time seeing them. roddy even recognized me and said hello several times throughout the day. haha. my pictures didn't turn out very well, considering that there was like a 15 foot barrier between me and them. but yeah. here are some of them anyway.
